“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren't always comfortable, but they're never weakness.”

Hi!

I want to stop and Thank You in this very moment for taking the first step to Thinking, Feeling and Being your Best Self. You have exuded so much POWER and COURAGE in this moment. Not only for putting yourself first, but not letting the stigmas and shame of Self + Society stop you. That right there my dear sister or brother is what you call STRENGHT, pushing forward in spite of. On top of that, I want to Thank You for considering me as your therapist. You are not alone on this journey. We are all in this Together! Asking for help is no easy task but it is my hope that you find peace in doing so. I truly believe that everything you need is right inside of you and HELP. HEALING, & HOPE are possible. There is no other moment like the Present. My Motto is: "It Works If You Work It'. So let's work together as the only way out is Through. It is my desire that you will allow me to support you in your journey to a Guided BreakThrough. I look forward to meeting with you soon!

Micah Moore, LPC

Micah S. Moore is the Founder + Lead Psychotherapist at Guided Breakthrough, PLLC.

By way of Chicago, IL the loss of her Mother transitioned her to Houston, TX. She left home, the only place she had ever known and moved without any family or friends to the great state of Texas. Micah knows firsthand about living through grief + moving through various life transitions. She wanted to continue the legacy of her late mother + fulfill her life’s purpose to help people. By doing both, Guided BreakThrough, PLLC was formed.

My Therapy Style + Passion + Working with Me

My counseling style is warm, open, compassionate, and person-centered. My top priorities are creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable, non-judgmental, supportive environment, all while building rapport and establishing our relationship. It is my desire to create and hold space for you as I Guide you to BreakThrough. It is my passion and life purpose to provide Help, Healing, and Hope to my clients. I utilize a holistic approach to reach my clients and provide them with the tools to develop and enhance their whole self. My primary theoretical orientations are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Client Centered Therapy, Motivational interviewing, and Strengths-based. However, I recognize that each client is unique, and my goal is to meet them where they are. The use of these theoretical orientations will help facilitate and engage you in the therapeutic process.

I want you to feel comfortable with working with me as we work to build rapport and strengthen our relationship.

As we establish our relationship, I like to get a sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors surrounding your concerns. During our time together I will make sure to educate and assist you with implementing tools and techniques to assist you in stress management and reduction, alternate ways of thinking, accomplishing your goals and becoming your best self. I truly believe that everything that you need is right inside of you, and with my Guidance, we will uncover those inner strengths and empower you to develop effective coping skills to navigate through life and ultimately BreakThough.
